How this site handles your personal data
Effective from 15 October 2026. This notice covers one thing: the personal data of people who read or write to this independent information site about SpinFin Casino. The details a player gives the casino itself are collected and held by the casino, and we never receive them. The sections below follow the kinds of data involved, so you can go straight to the one that applies to you.
The person responsible for the data described here is the editorial team that runs this site. You can reach it at [email protected].
Messages you send to the editorial address
When you write to us, we receive your e-mail address, your name if you add it, and whatever you put in the message. We use that to answer you, to look into a figure or sentence you have queried and, where you are right, to correct the page. We do not need a phone number or a postal address to do any of that, so please do not send them.
The basis for this is our legitimate interest in keeping the pages accurate and answering the people who help us do so. We keep a message until your query is closed and any correction has been made. After that, we keep only what we need to show that a correction was made, and we delete the rest.
We do not pass your message to the casino. If you ask us to, we will tell you that the operator’s own channels are the place for account matters, because we cannot act on an account.
Player details that go to the casino, not to us
Opening a SpinFin account asks for a good deal of personal data, and readers sometimes assume it passes through a site like ours. It does not. All of it goes to the casino, and none of it reaches this site.
- At sign-up: e-mail address and password, full name, date of birth and gender, phone number and address, account currency, and acceptance of the terms and privacy policy.
- Before the first withdrawal: a valid ID (passport, ID card or driving licence), proof of address (a recent utility bill or bank statement) and proof of the payment method (a card copy or an e-wallet screenshot).
Verification is required before the first withdrawal, and it usually takes 24–48 hours. Deposits and play are possible before it, so the documents are not requested at sign-up. Treat a request for any of these items that arrives through this site, or in our name, as something we did not send. We never ask for passwords, card numbers or documents, and we would not know what to do with them.
Questions about how the casino uses this data belong with the casino and its own privacy policy, which a player accepts when creating the account.
Technical data and cookies
Like most websites, this one may record technical data when a page is loaded: the address of the page, the time of the visit, the type of browser and device, and the network address the request came from. Browsers also hold cookies set by this site or by services embedded in it. We use this kind of data to keep the pages working and to see which of them are read, which tells us where a correction is most needed. Logs are deleted once they are no longer needed to run the site.
Cookies that are not strictly necessary are used only with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies; blocking them does not stop you reading the pages. Data held on the basis of your consent is kept until you withdraw it.
Sharing, hosting and transfers
We do not sell personal data. The only recipients are the service providers that host the site and handle its e-mail, acting on our instructions. If one of them processes data outside the United Kingdom, we rely on the safeguards UK law provides for such transfers. Where we are legally required to disclose data, we do so only to the extent required.
Your rights and the route to complain
You can ask us to confirm what we hold about you and to send you a copy. You can ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict its use or move it to another provider, and you can object to uses based on legitimate interests. You do not have to give a reason for a request, and you can use more than one right in the same message. We aim to reply within one month of a request, the period UK law sets. A request received on 3 November, for example, gets its reply by 3 December. Write to the editorial address above, say which right you wish to use and give the e-mail address you wrote from, so that we can find your message and answer within that period. We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and nothing you tell us is used to profile you.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by phone on 0303 123 1113.
Readers under 18
This site is about a product for adults. The minimum gambling age in Great Britain is 18, and the operator accepts players aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger, and if a minor has written to us we will delete the message on request.
Changes to this notice
When we change this notice we update the effective date at the top. Each version of the notice carries its own effective date, so you can see which one you are reading. A change that alters how we use messages you have already sent will be shown on this page before it takes effect.
